RECOVER | Strathcona Kick-Off

Wednesday November 14

Edmonton | Alberta | Canada

WHAT IF...we used social innovation to improve Strathcona's urban wellness? Over the last year, the City of Edmonton has been working with residents, businesses and government to develop RECOVER, Edmonton's Urban Wellness Plan. City Council recently approved expanding Recover into the Strathcona neighbourhood.  This isn’t about replacing existing strategies, policies, programs or services. Instead, we're focused on finding ways to better align and collaborate across different orders of government, social agencies, local businesses and the community.Together, we're building on what's already working and what we've learned from recent engagement efforts in your neighbourhood. We invite you to join us for an exploratory meeting to learn more about the RECOVER process, especially how we can use social innovation to co-design and test solutions that can improve the well-being of all Edmontonians.  Wednesday, November 145:30-8:30 PMDinner will be provided.Doors Open at 5:00PM ABOUT RECOVER Edmonton City Council directed the Administration to develop Recover: Edmonton’s Urban Wellness Plan, to better understand the cumulative impacts of all the different activities and systems that affect wellness in the urban core. Recover is being developed using a social innovation approach that engages many stakeholders as they understand how their individual efforts impact each other. It also provides opportunities to look for alignment and collective efforts for improving urban wellness.  Read our Community Report For more information:
