United Conference 2018

Friday November 9

Beaverton | Oregon | United States

When Friday and Saturday, Nov. 9-10 Friday 7p.m. Saturday 6 p.m. Purpose The mission of the UNITED Conference is simple: to gather people from as many churches as possible, especially in the suburbs south of Portland, to have an interdenominational experience. At the forefront is Jesus’ message that we should love one another, thereby showing all people that we belong to Him. We want to challenge people to join in the Great Commission—telling all people the good news of Jesus and participating as workers in the great harvest of souls Jesus promised. Let's usher in a spirit of love and cooperation that breaks down walls that have divided the church. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13.34-35 "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harbest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." Matthew 9.37-38 Speakers Barry Wood Pastor of River Rock Foursquare Church in Molalla, OR, Barry is also the author of 60 Days with God, Drawing Near to God through Times of Crisis. He has a passion to mentor and raise up young leaders. He believes the church is the body of Christ and should transcend denominational barriers to work together in our communities. He desires unity in the church by celebrating the work of Christ on the cross, his life, death, resurrection, and ascension. His message is for the church to love each other and prepare for the harvest promised in God’s Word. Chuck Whitley Pastor of Ethnos Church in San Diego, CA, Chuck is a gifted leader, speaker, and revivalist. He travels the United States teaching churches how to impact and interact with their cities and towns with the good news of Jesus Christ. Chuck teaches ‘Hearing God’ seminars which teach practical ways Christians can experience the voice of God in their daily lives. He speaks in churches of all denominations and desires to break down denominational barriers. His non-profit organization, Wilderness International has helped troubled youth find purpose through working on projects involving government agencies and communities.  Worship A collaboration of worship leaders and musicians from Oregon and Washington are coming together to lead in powerful times of worship. What to Expect Each meeting will be a time of worshiping God through music—praising our God with all our hearts. We will teach the Word of God regarding our need to love each other and become workers in the harvest. A key part of each meeting will be devoted to praying with each other and inviting people to receive prayer for their needs. These are designed to be simple meetings with a message to inspire us in our walk with Jesus and the mission he has given us all. Cost There is no cost for registration. We will receive an offering during each meeting to help cover expenses.
