Armistice Day Centenary - First World War Walking Tour of East Belfast

This Remembrance Sunday, take a step back in time with historian Jason Burke for a First World War themed walking tour of east Belfast to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armistice in 1918. This is a unique historical walk which uses the East Belfast surroundings to tell the stories of ordinary men involved in the extraordinary circumstances of the First World War. These stories have been compiled during many years of research on East Belfast's role in the war, from which details of thousands of men (and women) have been recorded and analysed. ​Tickets are £10 pp. Students can avail of a £7.50 ticket. The tour will meet and finish at East Side Visitor Centre, 402 Newtownards Road, Belfast.  ​The tour lasts for approximately 2.5 hours. *Tour will depart at 2pm sharp.
