On 17th July 2017, my youngest son was involved in a freak car accident just minutes from our home. He was flown by STARS to the University of Alberta Hospital, where our experience of organ donation began. I would love for you to join me so I can tell you Bryn's story: a straight from the heart talk about this experience. Studies suggest that 90% of Canadians support organ donation. We are extremely fortunate to have a world leading transplant centre right here in Edmonton, yet only 9% of Albertan's are registered donors. You may not even realize that signing your Universal Donor Card, although very thoughtful, is not the same as being a registered donor. Please join me so I can try to inspire and help you to register. All you have to lose is your lunch break!  FAQs  Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event? Due to the nature of this discussion it is not recommended for younger children to attend.  How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Please email questions to Bryns.Story@gmail.com and I will respond as quickly as I can.  Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? Yes, feel free to pass on your invitation if you are unable to attend. Please do not invite others as I need to know how many are coming, but do encourage others to register themselves so they can join us!  Is food provided? No, as this is a free event a lunch is not being provided. The venue does offer a choice of food options should you wish to purchase food yourself before or after the event. Are you going to try to sell me something? No, I promise this event will not cost you anything - other than giving up your lunch break! I do hope to inspire you to register to be an organ donor, but that is free also!
