Harmony Healthcare International (HHI)
MDS Competency Program
Competent Harmony Healthcare International MDS Professional
December 4-6, 2019
to 4:30 p.m. This 3-day course offers participants a more comprehensive understanding of the RAI process. Participants will spend half of the course time learning how to accurately code the MDS 3.0 Assessment Tool by navigating through each section with an expert trainer.
Why does this matter?
The Care Area Assessments (CAAs) will be introduced as the vital link between the MDS 3.0 and the accurate and resident specific care plan. Participants will learn how to successfully manage the OBRA schedule and the PPS schedule, including the scheduled and unscheduled assessments.
A detailed discussion of ADL Coding and ADL Scoring will help provide the participant with the tools to more successfully manage ARD selection and to teach the nursing team how to document ADLs more accurately.
This course is ideal for MDS Coordinators who have one year of experience or less, as it will provide the opportunity to move through basic MDS management concepts at a slow pace. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and glean provider-specific clarifications that can be applied immediately upon returning to the work place. Competency is obtained with a passing score on the online exam. Recommended Audience: Owners, Operators, CEO, CFO, Compliance Officers, Administrators, Nursing Management, Rehabilitation Management, Nurses, Therapists, Business Office Managers, Risk Managers, Safety Officers, IT Personnel 3-Day Seminar Information Registration: 8:00 a.m.
