TOUR, EAT, SHOP! Welcome in the holidays by attending the 24th Annual Virginia-Highland Tour of Homes! Enjoy a festive 2-day event of beautiful architecture and interior design in one of Atlanta’s most charming neighborhoods. Known for its historic residences, unique shops and fabulous local restaurants, the Virginia-Highland Tour of Homes is the perfect way to spend the day and spread holiday cheer! Seven beautiful properties will be featured on this year’s tour. Although different in style and design, they are all equally representative of the Neighborhood’s character. This year’s line-up includes a 1923 semi-Tudor style home that has been lovingly transformed to a showcase over the last 32 years, a recently renovated American Foursquare built in 1916, a 1919 “shotgun” California craftsman bungalow with beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, a beautifully renovated 1916 bungalow with a multitude of original features, The tour includes three other fabulous historic homes transformed for the modern world and display unique and whimsical works of art. Local restaurants will provide food tastings at the YWCA and at each of the Tour homes. Local favorites, such as Alon’s Bakery & Market, Atkins Park, The General Muir, Marlow’s Tavern, Press & Grind, and San Francisco Coffee will once again serve up delicious bites. We are thrilled to have the following restaurants new to the tour in 2018: DBA Barbecue, El Taco, La Tavola, Murphy’s, Nowak’s, and Whiskey Bird.  Dates & Time Home Tour Sat., Dec. 1   10:00 am – 5:00 pm Home Tour Sun., Dec. 2  11:00 am – 4:00 pm Food Tastings Sat/Sun 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm (or until food lasts) Parking Information Ample parking is available on side streets throughout the neighborhood.  Free parking is also available at the YWCA and aound the neighborhood on a first-come, first-served basis.  Since all homes are located within a 1.5 mile loop, we are not offering a shuttle service for this year's tour.   Restrooms Portable restrooms will be available near the YWCA ticket headquarters, located at 957 N. Highland Ave. VHCA The VHCA is a non-profit organization supported exclusively through volunteers and fundraising events like the Tour of Homes whose mission is to improve the quality of life in the community. The funds raised by the VaHi Tour of Homes will go to support various projects around Virginia-Highland including neighborhood park improvements, safety, sidewalk and traffic concerns, planning and preservation, and other community efforts. WAIVER AND RELEASE OF CLAIMS:  Homes on the Virginia-Highland Tour of Homes may not meet building standards or ADA standards and may have other hazards and/or defects.  Restaurants serving food during the tour make no representations or warranties regarding allergens or other ingredients that may cause illness in people with food allergies or food sensitivities.  Participants in the Tour of Homes agree to waive and release the Virginia-Highland Civic Association, its members, the homeowners and businesses associated with the Tour of Homes, including restaurants that serve food during the Tour, from any and all manner of claims, damages, or injuries associated with the Tour or incurred while participating in the tour.
