Hand Felted Coasters Workshop

Sunday November 11

Beaverton | Oregon | United States

Learn the ancient craft of wet felting by making yourself a set of coasters. Using only raw wool, soapy water and the agitation of your hands, you’ll make yourself a set of 4 thick felt coasters. The process of transforming raw wool into felt has been performed by humans for millennia! We’ll be working with the beautiful wool roving from Harrisville Designs, a heritage mill in New Hampshire. Their fleece is “dyed in the wool”, meaning it has flecks of many different colors carded together. This fiber makes a sophisticated, heirloom quality felt. Ages 10 and up welcome. The class fee of $40 includes all the materials you will need to complete your project. PenFelt Studio is located near SE 33rd and Belmont in Portland. Once you register for this class, the exact studio address will be provided in the confirmation email. For other felting classes, visit the PenFelt website. Before registering please acquaint yourself with the PenFelt Studio cancellation policy here.
