Serger 101: Get To Know Your Serger!

Get to know and use your serger-any make and model! This class is perfect if you have a new or ‘new to you’ serger. It’s also a great way to decide which serger you want to buy if you don’t have one. Using a combination of slides, video-clips and demos we will demystify the many moving parts and how they work together. You will learn about easy threading, basic tension, 2, 3, and 4-thread stitches, simple flat-lock and the versatile rolled hem. You will be provided with fabric for samples and a notebook with instructions. If you need to borrow one of the lounge sergers, please let us know when you register. Supply List (please bring to class) Your serger, power cord, foot control, all accessories and the manual 4 spools of thread in 4 different colors Standard sewing supplies (scissors, seam gauge, pins etc.) Sack lunch.
