SAVE YOUR BOXES FROM THE HOLIDAY! MAKE SURE TO ASK FOR "DUCT TAPE" FOR GIFTS THIS SEASON.....YOUR'RE GOING TO NEED IT! To celebrate the opening of the 23rd Winter Olympic Games this year, we are holding our own Winter STEM Olympics! Come out and participate in various STEM Adventures to "Do Your Best" in showing the Olympic Spirit while Scouting! Kensington Metropark will have two snowmaking machines for the first time this year on their sled hills! This is the only sled hill in metro Detroit to have their own snowmaking! The following activities are offered: * Cardboard Sled Racing (Individual and/or Team) Cub Scouts/Webelos Race Boy Scouts/Venturer Race Open Race Corporate Race * Learn to Solder - LED Neckerchief Slides * Snow Snakes * Winter Science Activities leading to NOVA Learn to Grow! and Science Everywhere * Petting Zoo * Hot chocolate and popcorn! MORE TO BE ADDED!! Cub Scouts will be able to race Cardboard Sleds that can either be built as a pack, den or individually! We will be racing them at the sledding hill at Kensington Metropark. Winter Science Activities will be offered at the farm center in the afternoon. Boy Scouts/Ventures will be able to work on a NOVA in the morning at the farm center and will be racing their Cardboard Sleds in the afternoon.
