Join Hikely as we take on the 52 Hike Challenge! This is a global movement empowering you to take a personal journey to discover the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits gained through hiking once a week for an entire year. Thousands of people all around the world are taking the challenge to help change their lives in a positive way, one step at a time. Every Thursday meet up with Hikely and we'll lead you to the most scenic trails Los Angeles has to offer. Together we'll watch the sunset over the Pacific Ocean and marvel at dusk's ombre sky. Studies have shown that hiking reduces stress, increases creativity and is a great way to get a serious workout without putting too much pressure on your joints. Hiking lowers the risk of heart disease, diabetes and stroke. Spending time in nature is a wonderful alternative to the gym, just one hour of hiking can burn well over 500 calories. Hit the trail and soak up that vitamin D every Thursday, we meet 2 hours before sunset. Be sure to bring water and pack a headlamp or flashlight incase the hike runs long.
