Winter Hike at the Keystone Arch Bridges Trail

Keystone Arch Bridges Trail, , Chester

The Western Mass Hilltown Hikers join forces with SHAEC and JLBA to Hike the Keystone Arch Trail! Join us for the 4th annual SHAEC/ JLBA hike of the historic Keystone Arch Bridge Trail in Chester. Meet at the Trailhead on foot (limited parking), park at Chester Middle School, 325 Middlefield Road, Chester, MA 01011. and walk up Middlefield Road to the trailhead. There is a large free parking lot at the school reserved for our group. You may either hike on your own, or hike with the group. Plan for three hours to get to the end of the trail and back. Although the trail is easily traveled and well-marked, be prepared for mud and snow, bring walking sticks/ice cleats if you think you need them, know your limits. Dogs Welcome! Heavy snow will cancel event. Please be aware that there are no facilities at the trail. Please keep our beautiful places clean and carry in and carry out. You may pick up snacks or enjoy breakfast/ lunch in Chester at the following locations: The Chester Common Table, A & L Market, or the Classic Pizza Blue Note Caf*, all located on Main Street, or The Chester Village Market, on Route 20.
